Our New Arrival Abigail Elizabeth

We welcomed Abigail Elizabeth into our family on August 11th at 7:16pm. She weighed in at 7lb 11oz and is 20 1/2 inches. She is precious and we feel very blessed to have her as part of our family. All of us are doing well. Below are some pictures...

Steve and Kim Tie the Knot!

On Saturday, Steve and Kim took their vows and are now officially married! Kevin was the pastor for the wedding, Mindy was the photographer and Callie was one of the flower girls. I think all of us need to go into business. We are a one stop wedding shop! haha Anyway, the wedding was very nice. Even though it was over 100 degrees outside, everyone managed to stay pretty cool in the chapel and reception area. Below are a bunch of pictures. Ended up taking over 300! Enjoy!

Rodeo and Horse Racing

The past two weekends, we headed out to a rodeo in Clarksville, TX and Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, TX to watch some horse racing. We had a lot of fun at each. At the horse track, Callie ended up receiving a signed pair of goggles from one of the jockeys and wouldn't take them off until later that night. She was playing outside with them on and trying to ride Tex (our cocker spaniel)! haha

The rodeo was a lot of fun too. We went up to Mom and Dad Abbott's for the weekend and headed to the local rodeo. Steve and his family came too. Only wish it was a little cooler that weekend. But that's what you get for it being the middle of June!

Kim's Bridal Shower

This past weekend a bridal shower was held for Kim, the bride-elect of Steve Abbott. It was a fun time and everyone enjoyed themselves. It was nice to see the Abbott family and also meet Kim's friends from church and work. Some of her family members also attended and it was nice to see them again. Trip to San Antonio

We just got back from a couple days away in San Antonio. It was a nice a relaxing trip and we enjoyed the time together. It was our last trip before the baby arrives. The first night we headed down to the Riverwalk to enjoy the atmosphere it provides and to grab some good Tex-Mex. We found a nice place to eat and sat outside right on the river. However, we didn't realize that the ducks and pigeons would be eating with us. One of the ducks pecked at Kevin a couple of times. You couldn't leave your table cause the birds would come right up there and start eating the tortilla chips and left over food! The next day we headed out to Sea World and had lots of fun watching the shows. Then went to see Angels and Demons at the theatre close by the Riverwalk and then headed back to the Riverwalk for some dinner. Finally, we visited the Alamo and listened to a gentleman talk about the history of the Alamo and watched a movie in the IMAX theatre. Remember the Alamo! It was a great time. The Growing Belly

Just posting a picture of the growing belly. The baby is almost six months along now. Won't be too much longer until we get to meet him/her. Kevin has started putting the new floor down in the baby's room. Hopefully within the next month or so we will start moving the furniture in and decorating. We are getting very excited for the arrival of the newest member of our family.

Baby Abbott

Today we had another doctor's appointment. At the beginning of the visit, we had a sonogram. The baby is growing as it should and is healthy. It weighs 12 oz right now. It's measurements are a few days ahead of schedule, but they said that is normal. The doctor is happy with the progress and does not have any concerns. After the appointment, we went to Babies 'R Us to begin registering for the baby. It seems that most of the neutral items all deal with a safari theme. So I guess we will be going with safari items!

Last of Santa Fe Pictures

Below are the last of the Santa Fe pictures. We had an enjoyable time on our trip, but the drive back was very long. We are thankful that we weren't driving back this past Friday with the snowstorm moving through the Amarillo area.

Santa Fe

Yesterday, Mindy and Wendy headed down to the town square in Santa Fe. After the short walk to the square we decided to grab some lunch and then head off to look at all of the jewelry and art that are available to purchase. The vendors had some great deals going on. We were told that the jewelry was 60% off due to the new inventory coming in the next couple of weeks. We also went to visit a couple of churches and the state capital. The state capital wasn't as amazing as the capital buildings in New York, Texas or Washihngton, DC. But it was neat to see anyway. Below are some pictures.

Carlsbad Caverns

Well, we are now enjoying our trip in New Mexico. On Monday, we visited Carlsbad Caverns. It was pretty neat to be able to walk around a cave and see all of the wonerful things going on underground. We started walking into the cave through a giant hole in the side of the mountain and walked over a mile until we got to the center where the Great Room is located. We took some great pictures, but it is not the same as walking through the cave and experiencing it for yourself. Today, Kevin, Clint, Evan, Grace and Callie are off to the ski slopes while Mindy and Wendy head into downtown Santa Fe to check out the sites. Below are some pictures from the caverns.

Wildcats Team Picture

The Wildcats season is starting to come to a wrap. The girls played their last regular season game this past Saturday. If they won, they would have won their age group (there are only two teams). And if they lost, they would tie with the other team and end up playing a Championship game. Unfortunately, the Wildcats lost and will be playing this coming weekend. Hopefully the girls will win!!! Abbott Family Update

Well, it has been awhile since we posted anything. We have been busy wtih life. Kevin is in the process of putting in new flooring on the first level of our home. It is looking real nice and we should be moving furniture back in the living room, office and dining rooms this week...hopefully! The kitchen, hallways and both bedrooms need to be completed still. It will look real nice once all of it is done. We also found out in December that we are expecting. All of us are very excited for the baby to arrive in August. Below are pictures of the floor and pictures of the baby at almost 7 weeks. The baby has certainly changed since then. The baby is almost 15 weeks, so I am sure that it looks very different now.
